TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Mostafa Najjar said on Wednesday the defense ministry and military would hold joint military exercises within next month.

He told reporters on the sidelines of Majlis session that new weapons would be introduced during the military maneuver. Defense minister said that Iranian-made Azarakhsh (thunder) fighter planes will be introduced in the exercise. He also pointed to the efforts made by defense ministry in increasing the exports of Iran's military hardware. Najjar dismissed allegations made by the Zionist regime and U.S. that 600 Iranian missiles targeted the occupied Palestine (Israeli regime) as psychological war by enemies. Defense minister said, ""We are determined to serve the peace, stability and security in Middle East."" He called Azarakhsh fighter planes one of the most important joint achievements of defense ministry and the military. ""The fighter jets will make test flight and operations in the near future."" Najjar made it clear that after Zionist Regime defeat in Lebanon last July-August 2006 by Hezbollah, it pursues psychological war, because it can not tolerate powerful Iran. He further added that ""We monitor all movements of the enemies and will respond strongly to any attack against Iranian territories."" Iran's defense minister said on the boosting of cooperation with regional states: ""We follow the command of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the issue along with ministry of foreign affairs and in near future we will have joint military cooperation, defense accords and joint maneuvers
